There are many rebate options available ranging from provincial and federal heat pump rebates to Fortis BC Gas appliance rebates.

*Please note that we can only guarantee the equipment we select is rebate eligible, it is the customer’s sole responsibility to understand their eligibility and complete the required steps to receive the applicable rebates.

It’s important to note that all rebates are delivered directly to you, the homeowner, after installation and we’ve received payment in full. We recommend thorough study of the rebate eligibility requirements and that you return to these links after purchase/installation to speed up the rebate process.

Provincial Heat Pump Rebates

There are many rebates available for heat pumps from multiple programs in a wide range of amounts. Depending on the systems quoted you can be eligible for anywhere from $1000.00 to $6000.00 in rebates for heat pump installations and potentially even more under the income qualified programs.

There is also a link below where you can do the BC Hydro Electricity Consumption Check to ensure your home qualifies for provincial rebates if you’re currently on electric heat.

Federal Heat Pump Rebates

The Federal heat pump rebates have more steps involved than the Provincial counterparts but it’s much easier than it appears at first glance. After acceptance of our quote, the first thing you should do is follow the first link below and register with NRCan for the Canada Greener Homes Grant. They will ask you to select an energy efficiency company and we highly recommend CoEfficient. After that you will need your energy evaluation before installation.

You can arrange this yourself with whichever company you choose or we can send you a link to book with CoEfficient and ensure they’re there for your evaluation before our installation. After completion, CoEfficient, or your energy evaluation company of choice, will return for a post installation evaluation. Once you have both their reports and our invoice marked paid in full you can complete your application.

The energy evaluations you receive also contain information for other potential energy saving measures for your home but you don’t have to complete these to qualify for the heat pump rebate. Learn more:

Canada Greener Homes Grant

FortisBC Gas Rebates

We also perform gas installations for both space heating and hot water. There are multiple rebates now from Fortis that assist with such installations and you could be eligible for up to $1000.00 for replacing an old gas furnace with a new high efficient model, or up to $2700.00 if you’re a new Fortis customer installing a high efficient gas furnace and on demand water heater.

Canada Greener Homes Loan

The Canada Greener Homes Loan incentivizes Canadians to design or upgrade their homes with energy efficiency in mind. In addition to the separate Canada Greener Homes Grant, there is a 0% loan for up to 10 years available for major retrofits.

This loan is available to Canadians at a minimum of $5,000 and a maximum of $40,000, with the eligible limit calculated based on the retrofits you select in your application, along with the quotes you gather. Learn more about the loan:

Oil to Heat Pump Affordability Program

There is a new program that will assist in moving from an oil furnace to a new heat pump system in addition to the rebates already in place.

This program is just beginning but according to available information this is not an additional rebate but an offer to cover $5000.00 of the purchase price.
